Section 180 In a surge of energy the gem erupts into life, a solid sphere of protection forming about your body as the Shield stone does its work. When it is finished you can feel the prickling sensation of power flowing around you, and you do not hesitate to make use of it. Quickly you move forward, the flame vents gushing burning gases at your advancing form, but they are ineffective. Against the shield the flames are turned aside, the blasts of super-heated gas forming around the edges of the sphere before dissipating harmlessly into the smoke shrouded air.
