The Crusaders Of The White Shroud


Sir Gindle is a Questing Knight Paladin of note. Sir Gindle's Grail Quest involves finding and claiming a magical relic know as the White Shroud which has the power to heal wounds, bring the dead back to life and cure disease and poison.

Sir Gindle wears armour that is gilded with a fine layer of gold. The master-crafted armour was given to Sir Gindle by a fellow knight after Sir Gindle aided in the rescue of the knight's daughter. The helm of the suit has been enchanted to make Sir Gindle almost untouchable by small weapons, only magical or two-handed weapons really have a hope of breaking through the powerful enchantment. The enchantment will only last for a year however, so the protection will eventually fade.

Besides the magical helm, Sir Gindle has another magical item, a sword of obvious magical power that increases the power of Sir Gindle's attacks. This blade is long and thick but surprisingly light to hold. Sir Gindle came across the weapon in the den of one of the many monsters he had slain.

To aid Sir Gindle in his quest, a retinue of Bretonnia's fighting men has been sent to fight alongside him against the evils that guard the Shroud. This retinue includes a promising Knight Of The Realm by the name of Sir Darrius d'Fin. This warrior's skill is already a match for Sir Gindle and thus he has been given the honour of carrying the Valourous Standard into battle, showing the dark fiends of the enemy what Bretonnia stands for.

In his journeys, Sir Gindle enlisted the help of a young Damsel Of The Lady who weaves protective and destructive magic to aid the valiant Knights of Bretonnia.

The search continues for the Shroud, rumour has it that the White Shroud is in Orcish hands...

That's the background story of my characters, I'm still working on it but that's all I've come up with so far.
