Bretonnian History

• IC -1000: Long before Gilles Le Breton was born, many human tribes settled what was one day to become Bretonnia, the strongest tribe was the Bretonni.
• IC 577: A huge incursion of Greenskins comes from the Grey Mountains, the Orcs demand tribute but the Bretonni fight for their freedom, they send for help but it never comes, 400 years of war against Orcs follows.
• IC 1123: Badly defeated and crushed by Goblins, only seven knights survived a battle that was led by the reckless Baron de Fette, the knights made a heroic stand at the nearest village and fought the entire Gobbo horde on a bridge, not one knight survived that day but he died driving off or killing the last of the Goblins, saving the citizens of the town and many other towns that would have fallen if not for their courage.
• IC 1142: Guillaume, the Third King of Bretonnia, defeated a huge host of Orcs at the Battle Of Armandur and drove out all of the Greenskins out of Northern Bretonnia.
• IC 1175: Settra, the first and most powerful of the mighty Tomb Kings, leads a fleet bent on the fall of Bretonnia, in a huge battle Settra's fleet falls but Settra escapes, vowing vengence on Bretonnia, the day when the skeletal kings of Khemri will fall upon Bretonnia with a host of skeletal warriors is certain to come, but when?
• IC 1485: In a sneaky move, Count Henry and Baron Lestanne oust the dishonest Baron Rikhardt and claim the Marches Of Couronne.
• IC 2201: Louen Orc Slayer declares he is going to rid Bretonnia of all Orcs, he then drives many armies through Bretonnia and kills many Orcs and Goblins and forces the rest into the forests and mountains around Bretonnia, great celebration insues.
• IC 2302: The Great War Against Chaos sees thousands of Knights march off to war, to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the good races of the world, less than ten percent of the brave knights return, but the world survives today due to their, and other's, sacrifice.
• IC 2420: Two hundred years later, King Charlen takes the Errantry War to the Border Princes. A huge victory at Blood River makes the Border Princes a much safer place and many settlers move into the area.
• IC 2420-2424: Grom the Goblin Warboss charges through the Empire and some of Northern Bretonnia with a massive army of Greenskins, burning and pillaging all in their path until they meet the sea, where they build a fleet of ships and sail off towards Elf lands, Grom then wages a harsh war with the Ulthuan Elves, ending in Grom's death.
• IC 2488: Morglum Necksnapper defeats a vast army of Bretonnians at the Battle Of Death Pass, the Bretonnian king at that time sadly announces the end of the Errantry Wars.
